
The San José Police Department has reported an arrest concerning a disturbing violation of privacy that occurred last week at a local middle school. According to a statement from the San José Police Department, 41-year-old Trevis Street was taken into custody on charges of possessing child sexual abuse material and illegally recording minors.
The incident happened on Monday afternoon. Trevis Street, later confronted by staff members, reportedly entered the women's locker room at a middle school on Bret Harte Drive, recording the juvenile occupants before fleeing the scene.
A concerted effort from the Sexual Assault Investigations Unit and several other divisions within the SJPD led to the apprehension of Street. The arrest occurred in San José on Wednesday amid canvassing by patrol officers and detectives in the school's neighborhoods.
Following the arrest, Trevis Street was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
