The San Mateo Police Department reported an unusual incident on Sky Court this week. According to the San Mateo Police Department's social media post, officers responded to a call from a homeowner concerning a masked individual wearing a hard hat who was persistently knocking on their front door and window. This raised suspicion due to the behavior and improbability of someone in construction gear coming by at a late hour.

When law enforcement arrived, they found the subject attempting to conceal himself, which added to the growing unease of the situation. Detaining him, they later discovered he resided in Oakland and appeared to have "no legitimate reason" for being in the San Mateo neighborhood, as per the San Mateo Police Department.

The reason for his arrest, as stated by the San Mateo Police Department, was that he was a "convicted felon in possession of pepper spray."
