As the holiday season approaches, Old Town Scottsdale is actively encouraging the community to support their local economy by participating in Shop Scottsdale Saturday. Taking place from 1 – 3 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 30, shoppers will have the opportunity to explore a plethora of locally owned and operated boutiques, galleries, and retailers conveniently located throughout the 5th Avenue Shopping District, Arts District, and Historic Old Town, as detailed in a recent promotion from the city of Scottsdale.
Those who choose to shop locally this weekend can enjoy not just the satisfaction of bolstering the community but also some tangible perks. Complimentary professional gift-wrapping courtesy of AZ Gift Wrapping will be available, designed to make the gift-giving process a tad more convenient for patrons. A festive touch will be added by the Jingle Belles, a vocal and dance ensemble set to entertain the crowd. According to a statement obtained by the city of Scottsdale, those partaking in Shop Scottsdale and showing a receipt will be gifted a reusable tote bag at two pop-up tents located at strategic points in town.
Local business owners are expressing their gratitude for the city's ongoing efforts to promote small businesses. "The city has been incredible in its support for small businesses,” Kimberly Pak, owner of Merchantile Market, told the city of Scottsdale. She highlighted the various marketing initiatives and event support that have aided local entrepreneurs in carving out a thriving presence in the community.
The initiative for Shop Scottsdale Saturday is a part of Scottsdazzle, a month-long holiday celebration.
