Following the lethal shooting in the West End, authorities have identified the victim as Kobyashi Jones, a 50-year-old resident of the 5600 block of Cates. The incident took place in the afternoon of Monday last week, when Jones was found with fatal gunshot wounds in an alley on the 700 block of Goodfellow.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, shortly after the shooting, police were able to apprehend a 37-year-old man, who is now facing charges for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Resisting Arrest. Detectives continue to investigate the incident, working to uncover the details behind the attack. The suspect's identity remains unknown. A firearm was found at the scene of the crime.
