A 33-year-old St. Louis man, Josue Dominguez, has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting in the Dutchtown neighborhood, authorities said. Dominguez, who lived on the 300 block of Meramec, was found with gunshot wounds last Tuesday in the 3500 block of Alberta after police were called to the scene at approximately 8:30 a.m., according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Emergency medical services transported Dominguez to the hospital, however, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still unclear, and homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. Residents and onlookers, alike are left in shock as the familiar streets have once again been marked by tragedy.
Police have not disclosed any information regarding potential suspects or motives at this time. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are appealing to the community for assistance.
