
Last Friday in Suisun City, a mutual dispute escalated into an act of violence, leaving one man injured from an alleged stabbing on Main Street. The Suisun City Police Department reported the victim, who remains unidentified, suffered significant injuries.
According to the Suisun City Police Department's social media post, the dispatch received a call at about 5:33 pm from a woman claiming her husband had been attacked. Police officers quickly arrived at the 700 block of Main Street to find the male victim with a wound from what seemed to be a stabbing. First responders quickly applied a tourniquet to control the bleeding.
The victim, though seriously injured, was fortunately in a state to identify his attacker to the police. Officers on the scene managed to locate and apprehend the suspect, Ricardo Ortiz, a 66-year-old resident of Suisun City. The weapon believed to be used in the assault was found at the scene and taken in as evidence.
Ortiz was then provided medical treatment alongside the victim before being transported to the Solano County Jail. Following the incident, the suspect was booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
