The City of Surprise is calling on its residents to step forward and serve their community. There's a vacancy on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission, and the seat needs filling. This is a chance for locals to shape the city's leisure spaces and programs, with a term expiration set for June 30, 2025. If you've got ideas for the city's green spaces and how to keep the community recreating, this might just be your opportunity to make an impact.
Applications must be submitted by the rapidly approaching deadline of November 29, according to the City of Surprise announcement. Surprise residents who are interested and eligible can download the application from the city's website. While the commission roles are unpaid, they offer an opportunity to positively impact the community’s quality of life and outdoor activities.
You can mail or hand-deliver a hard copy to the Surprise City Hall, City Clerk’s Office. Note that the offices will be closed on November 28 and 29 for Thanksgiving. For questions, contact the City Clerk’s office at 623.222.1200.
