The City of Surprise is seeking residents to join the Library Advisory Commission. The selected applicant will serve on the commission until June 30, 2027, helping shape the future of the local library. This is a voluntary position.
Those interested need to be aware that to serve, candidates must reside within Surprise city limits. In a statement featured on the City of Surprise announcement, instructions for the application process were delineated, including a direct link for downloading the necessary forms.
Application packets can be sent via email to [email protected] with a submission deadline set for November 29. Alternately, applicants can opt for mailing or hand-delivering a hard copy, ensuring it reaches the City Clerk's office at Surprise City Hall within the designated regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is worth noting, however, that the city offices will be closed on November 28 and 29 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
For further assistance or information, the City Clerk’s office can be contacted through the same email or by calling 623.222.1200. Applications once submitted will not only be considered for the current vacancy but will also be retained for reviewing against any future vacancies in city commissions.
