The situation unfolded when the homeowner arrived to find the suspect, later identified as Avonta Brandon, allegedly attempting to quickly flee the premises with stolen property. It was the following day, on November 18, that the police were able to apprehend Brandon, who is noted to be of no fixed address, and charged him formally with second-degree burglary.
