
A restaurant in Townsend, Trailhead Steak & Trout House, was destroyed by a fire early Friday morning. Known for its rustic charm and hearty meals, the restaurant was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters from Townsend and Blount County arrived to battle the blaze, as reported by WVLT.
Emergency services received a call just before 5:00 a.m., prompting crews to respond to a fire on E. Lamar Alexander Parkway. Upon arrival, fire officials found the building fully on fire. It took nearly an hour to bring the fire under control. Investigators are currently looking into the cause of the fire, according to WBIR.
As dawn broke, the fire left Trailhead Steak & Trout House in ruins, with the building reduced to a shell. Firefighters remained on site to monitor for flare-ups from the remaining hot spots.
