The southbound Dallas North Tollway (DNT) will be out of commission tonight between Eldorado Pkwy. and Cotton Gin Rd. due to the NTTA's ambition to widen the thoroughfare. "The Tollway will close at 8 p.m. tonight, and will reopen by 5 a.m. tomorrow morning (Tuesday, November 12)," according to a notice from the City of Frisco. Those planning to navigate this area should plan to reroute or to adjust their travel times accordingly.
As the roads begin to shut down, traffic will be rerouted to take an alternate path. All vehicles traveling southbound on DNT are set to be diverted at Eldorado Pkwy, forced to ride tandem with the southbound Dallas Pkwy. frontage road before they can rejoin the Tollway just south of Cotton Gin Rd. Meanwhile, the southbound entrance ramps lie both north and south of Eldorado Pkwy. will remain closed as the crews work through the night.
