
A violent altercation in the 800 block of Gustav on November 2 led to two men being hospitalized and another man behind bars. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred late in the evening, around 10:15 p.m.
Language barriers were bridged as officers gathered testimony through a Spanish-speaking interpreter, unraveling the narrative of the night's events. It was revealed that a confrontation escalated when a 24-year-old man began stabbing a 42-year-old man. A 47-year-old man's attempt to intervene resulted in him being struck multiple times and rendered unconscious. The assailant proceeded to throw the older man's body onto the pavement repeatedly.
Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene to provide immediate aid and took both victims to a local hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition, avoiding a more serious outcome.
