Attention, West Esplanade Avenue drivers—the left eastbound lane at North Causeway Boulevard will be closed. Starting at 9 a.m. tomorrow and lasting through 5 p.m. Friday, that section of road will be closed for drainage repairs. During this time, drivers will need to merge into the remaining open lanes.
According to a Jefferson Parish announcement, the closure will allow crews to address underlying infrastructure issues. While residents and visitors along West Esplanade will experience some disruption to their daily routes, municipal authorities consider the closure a necessary measure to ensure the long-term safety and functionality of the roadway.
The work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, although the timeline is dependent on weather conditions. If the weather cooperates, crews should be able to stay on schedule.
