The Waukesha Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding a body found wrapped in a tarp. The body was discovered on East North Street near Moreland Boulevard, leading to a suspicious death investigation. Law enforcement officials are working to uncover the sequence of events that led to this alarming discovery, WISN reported.
The discovery was made in a wooded area, shocking nearby residents. "It is bizarre. It is bizarre you wonder what is going on," Konrad Lychwick, a local resident, told TMJ4 as police arrived at the scene. Speculation among the community members suggests a possible connection to the homeless individuals often seen around Frame Park, but official reports have not confirmed any links as of yet.
With no identification found on the deceased, the Waukesha police are collaborating with the medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death. According to CBS 58, the body's state suggested it had been at the site for a considerable duration before its discovery.
The ongoing investigation is having an impact on the community. "I just hope they do say something about how he passed. You know what I mean? If it was natural causes, then, you know, being around here, you don't have to worry. But if something did happen, it would be nice for the people around here to know what happened," Helen Yuhas said in a statement obtained by WISN.
