The incident occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m. last night, in the 1700 block of the Northside neighborhood. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the woman was with other individuals who were not injured during the shooting.
The report details how a dark colored pickup truck passed by the vehicle, the woman was in and an occupant of the truck opened fire. While, the motive and circumstances around the shooting remain unclear, the woman was quickly transported to an area hospital. She was last reported to be in stable condition, escaping a fate that could have veered tragically towards permanent silence or mourning.
