A residential area in Worcester was violently disrupted on Tuesday evening when police responded to a call about gunshots on Brookside Avenue. According to a press release by the Worcester Police Department, the incident occurred yesterday at approximately 6:21 PM, resulting in the discovery of two gunshot victims within an apartment.
Upon entering the scene, Worcester officers found a man and a woman with severe injuries, both had been shot, officers acted immediately to provide medical aid while paramedics were en route the female victim despite the efforts, was pronounced dead at the scene, whereas the male victim was rapidly transported to a local hospital in a serious condition. The area was swiftly secured for the follow-up investigation, with detectives arriving to piece together what had unfolded in the typically peaceful neighborhood.
