Flames engulfed a luxurious residence on Sargent Road in Brookline, Massachusetts, as firefighters from multiple departments rushed to contain the inferno that began to rage this morning. The Brookline Fire Department reported that the fire was first noted before 11 a.m., with smoke first seen billowing from the roof of the 13,000-square-foot home, which holds a hefty value exceeding $13 million, as per town assessment records.
A $3.4 million home, purchased in 2012, is now engulfed in flames. Firefighters are using aerial ladder trucks to spray water on the fire, as reported by NBC Boston. Video shows a large brick building covered in smoke, with flames coming from the upper windows, making it harder to fight the fire. Despite the danger, the teamwork of the responders shows their determination to battle the blaze together.
Further support arrived from the neighboring Cambridge Fire Department, as they declared through a social media statement their involvement not only in the direct emergency response but also in providing station coverage for the Brookline area, ensuring a maintained readiness for any additional incidents that may erupt within their jurisdiction.
