Clackamas County authorities have apprehended 18-year-old Pedro Anthony Cornejo-Morales of Gresham in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the Clackamas Town Center parking area last Friday. According to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Cornejo-Morales is suspected of shooting a 15-year-old male in the hand, resulting in the victim being hospitalized for treatment.
Following the incident, law enforcement officials located and apprehended the suspect as he attempted to evade capture by hiding behind a nearby building. As per a report from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Cornejo-Morales was booked into the Clackamas County Jail just after 10 p.m. on the same day on charges including assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree, unlawful use of a weapon, and attempted murder in the second degree.
The case is under active investigation, and detectives are asking for the public's help.
