A 20-year-old woman from Monroe met a tragic end early Saturday morning when she was fatally shot in what police are treating as a homicide case. The Monroe Police Department was summoned to the 100 block of 4th Street around 5 a.m., following a call alerting them to the shooting.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located Allison Kaspor, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Declared dead at the sight, reported Atlanta News First. Shortly after the discovery of Kaspor’s body, Matthew Rowe, age 22, was arrested in connection to the shooting. The charges levied against him include felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Matthews remains in custody.
In the aftermath of the shooting, local law enforcement is diligently seeking additional information.
