
Early this morning, a traffic incident in Hebron left a 26-year-old Hanover Park male seriously injured. The McHenry County Sheriff's Office, alongside the Alden Hebron Fire Protection District, responded to the scene where a 2023 Isuzu Box Truck had collided with a tree. The crash occurred in the 11400 block of Price Road, as reported by the McHenry County Sheriff's Office on their website.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the truck was traveling eastbound when it left the road and struck a tree. The impact was severe enough to require the driver to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency teams. Subsequently, the driver was flown to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he is currently listed in critical condition. Notably, the driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Major Traffic Crash Investigation Unit to fully determine the cause of the accident. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the incident, and no additional injuries have been reported. The Sheriff's Office has not yet released further details about the potential factors leading up to the crash.
