A series of violent robberies in Nashville targeting women has led to the arrest of four suspects, following a crucial tip to the Nashville authorities. The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) released information seeking public assistance after numerous incidents occurred in broad daylight where women were accosted and robbed. A white sedan with rear-end damage, caught on a business security camera, was linked to the attacks, with the most recent episode happening at a Family Dollar parking lot, as reported by WSMV.

The Metro Nashville Police Department's social media post further urged the community to be vigilant and to report if they recognized the vehicle involved. Despite suffering an injury after she fell to the ground, a 62-year-old woman fell victim to the robbery spree, adding to a disturbing pattern of such crimes in the region.

The Crime Stoppers tip led to the recovery of a silver Ford Focus and the arrest of the involved persons. The suspects, identified as Michael D. Harris, 35, and Aubrey Whitworth, 32, were apprehended after they were seen “interacting with the vehicle,” matching the descriptions from several of the robberies. In a dramatic turn of events, after a coordinated police effort, Whitworth was detained with a weapon and credit cards not belonging to her, while Harris was captured at a hotel with a loaded shotgun. According to WKRN, Harris confessed to involvement in a separate robbery and faces multiple charges, including aggravated robbery and evading arrest.

Continuing the surveillance around the Ford Focus, MNPD also took two other individuals into custody: Tatiana Barton, 27, with an outstanding misdemeanor probation violation warrant, and Ronald Thomas Jr., 54, who was found possessing cocaine and paraphernalia. Although the identities of the arrested individuals have not been disclosed due to pending lineups, they are likely connected to the string of attacks on women in Nashville.
