Heat Builds Through Midweek
Monday will be hotter, with a high near 97 and heat index values up to 107, followed by 98 degrees Tuesday. The National Weather Service in Nashville expects the hottest stretch around the middle of the week, when major to extreme heat risk could develop.
Wednesday and Thursday are both forecast to reach about 99 degrees, while overnight lows remain in the mid-70s. Those mild nights will limit the amount of relief Nashville gets after sunset, especially for homes and buildings that hold onto daytime heat.
Rain Stays Scarce Until Friday
Skies should remain mostly sunny or clear through Thursday, with daily rain chances staying at 10% or less. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives after 1 p.m. Friday, when the high is still expected to be near 99 degrees.
Saturday brings a somewhat better chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, around 30%, along with a high near 97. Any storms could offer a brief break, but the forecast still points to another very hot day before temperatures ease into the low 70s Saturday night.

No watches, warnings or advisories are currently in effect. Still, anyone spending time outside this week should plan for shade, frequent water breaks and shorter periods of strenuous activity, particularly during the afternoon heat.
