Yesterday, in Hickory Hill, a seven-year-old girl died after accidentally shooting herself. The Memphis Police Department (MPD) responded to the incident just before 8 a.m. at a residence on Whispering Lane, according to an article from Action News 5.
The young child was taken to LeBonheur Children's Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her injuries, as reported by FOX13 Memphis. The investigation is ongoing. No additional information about the circumstances surrounding the tragedy has been released.
