Acworth Power celebrated a significant milestone last Thursday evening when Deputy City Manager Angie Luna highlighted the unwavering dedication of Lineman Charles “Chuck” Mincey, who has served the city for thirty-five years. Mincey, whose expertise and commitment have been a constant source of reliability, has spent the majority of his years serving in a full-time capacity and now contributes on a part-time basis.
During the regular city council meeting last Thursday, which took place at the Acworth City Hall, Luna illuminated the contributions of Mincey to the community. According to the City of Acworth's announcement, "Mr. Mincey has faithfully served for thirty-five years, 33 years full-time and presently in a part-time capacity training young linemen, assisting during emergencies, and transferring institutional knowledge to the team."
Mincey's role in training future linemen is crucial, ensuring his legacy continues through the skilled workforce he shapes. By honoring Mincey, Acworth acknowledges the essential contributions of these dedicated workers to the city's success and well-being.
