Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Mercy have signed a new multi-year contract, ensuring Mercy doctors and facilities remain in-network for Anthem members. This agreement resolves concerns about potential service disruptions before the January deadline, as reported by FOX2Now.
The new agreement ensures Mercy will continue serving Anthem members, covering hospitals, outpatient centers, and physician offices, according to First Alert 4. This follows Mercy's previous plan to end its contract with Anthem by the end of 2024, securing coverage for Anthem’s employer-based, Medicare Advantage, and ACA Marketplace plans.
Anthem's Medicaid plan, Healthy Blue, has also secured a deal with Mercy, ensuring that its members will continue to have in-network access to Mercy doctors and facilities without disruption, as outlined by Spectrum Local News.
This agreement strengthens patient choice in Missouri by providing stability in healthcare services, easing concerns for residents affected by provider disputes. The Mercy and Anthem partnership ensures continued access to care in an unpredictable market.
