The search for a new circuit judge in St. Louis County has begun following Judge Nancy Watkins McLaughlin's retirement. The Twenty-First Circuit Judicial Commission has announced that applications are now being accepted to fill the vacancy, providing an opportunity for qualified candidates to step forward and serve, as announced on the Missouri Courts website.

In accordance with Missouri's Constitution, the Twenty-First Circuit Judicial Commission is seeking qualified applicants for the circuit judge position. Application forms, available in Word and PDF formats, include detailed guidelines for submission. The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. on December 27. All documents must be submitted via email to [email protected].

The commission will conduct public interviews for the circuit judge position on January 15 and 16, 2025, at the St. Louis County Court Building in Clayton. After the interviews, commission members, including Chairperson Thomas C. Clark II, will deliberate and select nominees to recommend to the governor.
