As the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center (ACTIC), also known as the Arizona Fusion Center, celebrated its 20th anniversary, officials highlighted the center's vital role in providing 24/7 support to law enforcement and contributing to the safety and security of Arizona's communities. Exploring beyond its counterterrorism roots, the center now addresses a range of threats through constant information sharing and investigative support, expanding its mission to an "all threats, all hazards" focus. "The dedication and professionalism of our ACTIC personnel has created a model for fusion centers across the nation," Colonel Jeffrey Glover, Director of the Arizona Department of Public Safety, said in a statement shared by the department while commemorating the event.
With a commitment to the safeguarding of Arizona’s critical infrastructure, the ACTIC has been recognized for its integration of local, county, state, tribal, federal, and private sector partnerships into a cohesive force against various risks to public security.
