A robbery in downtown West yesterday is under investigation by District 4 law enforcement. The incident took place at St. Charles and N. 13th Street, where a 34-year-old man was confronted by an armed individual after refusing to give money.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reports that around 8 p.m., the victim was in his car when the suspect approached, asking for a cigarette and money. After the victim refused, the suspect displayed a gun, entered the car, and announced a robbery. The victim handed over his money and backpack to avoid further confrontation.
During the confrontation, the victim noticed a second man acting as a lookout. After the robbery, the two suspects were seen escaping the scene in a white Cadillac Escalade. The victim did not sustain any injuries due to the robbery.
