A robbery that occurred in the Dutchtown neighborhood is currently under investigation by District 1 authorities. The incident, which unfolded in the early hours, saw a 40-year-old man victimized near his vehicle. According to a Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department report, the robbery took place around 2:30 a.m. in the rear of the 3600 block of Meramec Street.
The victim was alerted to a disturbance by his key fob and discovered two individuals attempting to tamper with his car. The perpetrators, described as males wearing all black attire and face masks, proceeded to swiftly and decisively point guns at the man. "The man said he relinquished his car keys and phone to the suspects," as stated in the police department's account of the event. Consequently, the assailants were able to make off with the man's 2017 Chevrolet Trax.
No injuries were reported during the encounter, and the victim is cooperating with police as they investigate. The law enforcement officials have not yet released any additional details about the suspects or their current whereabouts.
