Atlanta police are investigating a homicide after a body was found in a burned vehicle yesterday. Officers responded to a call at 7:28 am at 2092 Wilson Ave, where Atlanta Fire Rescue was already putting out a vehicle fire.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, after the fire was extinguished, arson investigators found the body inside the vehicle, leading to the involvement of homicide detectives. The victim was found to have multiple gunshot wounds. The Fulton County Medical Examiner was on-site to remove the body.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward to help with the investigation, which is still in the early stages.
