A San Francisco apartment witnessed an abrupt conflagration when a charging battery ignited last night. The San Francisco Fire Department reported via a social media post that the incident occurred in a multi-residential building located on Minna Street near 6th Street and was swiftly contained by a fire sprinkler system already in place.
According to the San Francisco Fire Department's post, no human injuries were recorded. However, firefighters rescued two dogs from the affected unit. The apartment's fire sprinkler effectively slowed down the fire, ensuring it did not engulf the rest of the building. This provided firefighters with a crucial window of time to carry out the rescue operation and control the situation.
