A body was found floating in the Willamette River near the Morrison Bridge on yesterday. The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is investigating after emergency crews responded to the scene around 11:30 a.m, according to KOIN.
Response teams, including river patrol deputies and Portland firefighters, were dispatched to the area following the call regarding the body. According to OregonLive, Sgt. Bryan White confirmed the recovery efforts yesterday. The firefighters played a crucial role in assisting the sheriff's office with the operation.
The body was eventually retrieved from the river and has been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office to be identified, as mentioned in KPTV report.
