
A fire broke out in a large commercial building in Dorchester on Freeport way at around 11:00 am, as reported by the Boston Fire Department on social media. The firefighters had to battle the blaze amid the bone-chilling temperatures that have recently gripped the city.
According to the Boston Fire Department, one individual was transported to the hospital by Boston Emergency Medical Services (EMS) following the incident; their condition remains unclear, and an investigation conducted by the Boston Fire Department's Fire Investigation Unit (BFD-FIU) is underway to determine the cause of the fire, which as of now has not been disclosed to the public.
