A Boston man is currently being held without bail after being charged with a stabbing incident that occurred outside the Roadrunner music hall earlier this month. COLLIN HULLUM, 36, faces charges of assault to kill and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. He was arraigned today and is scheduled for a dangerousness hearing set for tomorrow.
Authorities responded to a call at about 2:34 a.m. on December 1 at 89 Guest Street, where they found a 26-year-old man being treated for multiple stab wounds on his back. Surveillance footage captured earlier in the night inside the Warrior Ice Arena's foyer displayed a verbal altercation between the victim's group and three unidentified males, which escalated when Hullum, was seen striking the victim.
According to Suffolk District Attorney's Office, additional evidence included a video posted on TikTok showing Hullum with a knife. Upon investigating, Boston Police linked the violent episode to an incident where Hullum's sister was said to have cut the line at the bar and, after reportedly being confronted, told her brother she had been assaulted.
Further surveillance video revealed Hullum walking to his car after the stabbing and leaving the scene at approximately 2:46 a.m., with the vehicle later confirmed to be registered in his name. Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden commented on the unfortunate turn of events, “What was supposed to be an evening out enjoying a show quickly turned into a violent altercation that resulted in one man facing serious injuries and another man facing serious charges. The victim here seemed to be attempting to stop the violence. I thank him for that and I wish him a full recovery,” in a statement provided by his office.
The investigation also brought to light the involvement of a second individual who was observed with a knife during the episode. This person, who was seen making an attempt to stab two individuals inside the Warrior Ice Arena foyer, is expected to be charged at a later date. The attack appears to have occurred as the victim was trying to deescalate the fight that had broken out.
