Yesterday evening, Boston police apprehended 28-year-old John Ahearn of South Boston, who was wanted on charges of breaking and entering, and stalking. Ahearn was arrested after officers pulled him over near the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and W Broadway, as reported by the Boston Police Department's official website.
The arrest was a result of an incident that took place last Sunday, where Ahearn allegedly damaged a front door and unlawfully entered an apartment in the Codman Street area. The incident led to a report filed by residents and the subsequent issuance of a warrant for Ahearn's arrest. According to Boston police, Ahearn is now facing charges, including two counts of breaking and entering into a building in the daytime for a felony.
Ahearn's legal counsel will be presenting his case at the South Boston District Court, where he is scheduled for arraignment. The details of the December 22 incident, which contributed to the charges, were initially documented by officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan), who dealt with the breaking and entering call.
