On a frigid December night in Dorchester, the intervention of Boston Police led to the apprehension of a young man with a firearm. Officers, responding to a concerning call about an individual brandishing a gun on Parkman Street, managed to detain 20-year-old Dionte Wall of Dorchester, reportedly in possession of a loaded firearm.
According to a release by the Boston Police Department, officers from District C-11 arrived at the scene around 10:55 PM and encountered two individuals attempting to flee, each heading in a different direction. This prompted a swift response from the officers. During a pat frisk, their attention was drawn to a set of footprints in the snow, which led them to a discarded gun hidden between two homes.
The weapon, a Rockland USA, was found to be loaded with one round in the chamber and thirteen rounds in the magazine. Wall was subsequently arrested and is now facing charges for unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, and a large capacity feeding device. His arraignment is set to take place at Dorchester District Court.
