
The Boston Police Department is earnestly requesting the public’s help to urgently locate 61-year-old Elba Portillo, who resides in East Boston. Ms. Portillo was last seen on the morning of Friday, December 13, 2024, near Marion Street, as she was supposed to be heading to her place of employment on Meridian Street, but she never arrived. According to the official police report, she has previously been reported missing and is known to frequent the waterfront areas of East Boston.
Ms. Portillo's disappearance has stirred concern, as she is believed to suffer from insomnia and may be experiencing the early stages of dementia. The Boston Police describe her as a Hispanic female, standing at approximately 5’03”, weighing around 140 lbs., with light skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. When she was last seen, she was wearing a black jacket, purple sweatpants, and had a crossbody brown purse. The Boston community is implored to be on the lookout and to swiftly share any information that can help to bring her safely home.
