
Two juveniles have been arrested in connection to a brazen carjacking and robbery that took place in Brentwood. Last Sunday, Brentwood Police responded to an emergency call after an adult male was assaulted and robbed by two teenagers demanding he send money via a cash app before abducting him in his vehicle. The incident occurred near McClarren Road and Griffith Lane around 6:40 PM.
According to the victim's account, he managed to escape from his captors and contact the authorities. Brentwood Police, acting on the information provided, traced the suspects back to a residence on Griffith Lane. According to the City of Brentwood Police Department's Facebook page, the department detailed that the residence was known to them from prior interactions. It was decided that officers would approach the scene using an Armored Rescue Vehicle to ensure the safety of all parties involved.
The suspects, a 15-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested at the property without incident. They were found and detained in the 700 block of Griffith Lane. The pair, who are residents of Brentwood, face charges including robbery, carjacking, kidnapping, and other related offenses. Following their arrest, they were transported to Juvenile Hall.
The victim sustained only minor injuries during the ordeal. The investigation is ongoing, and the Brentwood Police urge anyone with further information to contact them.
