Brooklyn Park detectives have made an arrest in connection to a shooting that left one person dead and another seriously injured earlier this month. Marquan Deshawn Tucker, a 19-year-old male from Coon Rapids, was taken into custody, implicated in the violent incident that rocked the community, as reported by the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
The investigation, which was spearheaded by the Brooklyn Park Police Department with support from various agencies, including the BCA Violent Crime Reduction Unit (VCRU), led to the execution of several warrants on December 19. Tucker is now being held on probable cause for murder, according to a statement released by authorities.
It was on the afternoon of December 7, when police were called to a business parking lot on the 8000 block of Brooklyn Boulevard. There, they discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers provided immediate aid until both victims could be transported to a local hospital, where one was subsequently pronounced dead and the other remained in a grave condition, as detailed by the Brooklyn Park Police Department. Tucker allegedly fled the scene before officers arrived and remained at large until his recent arrest.
