As the office manager of South Georgia Law Associates, LLC, Mirick was found to have transferred funds over several years to GFA Design/Build Contractors, LLC, a company she and her husband owned, these actions raising alarms over extensive financial discrepancies and the potential theft of millions; the investigation into the scale of the misappropriation, as noted by WSB-TV, remains active, with more charges possibly forthcoming as agents and investigators continue to uncover the breadth of Mirick's alleged embezzlement.
