Last night, a fire resulted in a Canutillo family losing their home and possessions. According to KTSM, the incident, which took place a little after 6 p.m. at 389 Isaias Dr., was attended by the West Valley Fire Department, who extinguished the flames within thirty minutes with support from Anthony Fire. "When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke and flames could be seen coming through the garage and attic," West Valley Fire Chief Bill Adler explained.
While tackling the blaze, additional resources were brought in from Anthony, New Mexico, as stated by Adler. The structure was overtaken by the fire rapidly, and the family, watching in horror, could do nothing but witness their worldly goods be consumed by the inferno.
In the face of such loss, the response quickly changed from extinguishing flames to offering solace. "They are going to contact the Red Cross to help the inhabitants get back on their feet after reportedly losing everything," Adler elaborated in a statement reported by KFOX-TV. The Red Cross is known for its emergency assistance to those stricken by disasters, aiming to help them recover and rebuild.
