Deputies in Carroll County are ramping up efforts to catch a man they believe to be behind the theft of nearly $15,000 worth of tools and materials from a construction site. The site, which is currently under construction, is located on Carrollton Villa Rica Highway and became the target of burglary on Nov. 24.
With a clear view in the surveillance footage, the suspect is shown roaming inside the building, turning at one point to look directly into the camera. A call for public assistance has been made, at the hope to possibly identify the man in the video. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, "At one point in the video, the man turns and looks right at the camera."
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office, in an attempt to catch the culprit, has released the surveillance clip hoping to catch not just the thief, but also the attention of potential witnesses. They're now urging anyone with relevant information to step forward and aid in the investigation.
