Breaking ground on The Haven on Hamilton is a date set in the future – specifically late 2026 following the relocation of 90 families to the newly completed Villas on McQueen property, and if all goes to plan, the wrap-up is expected by the end of 2028. To finance this venture, a concoction of county, state, and federal dollars will do the heavy lifting, ensuring not a dime is pulled from Chandler's General Fund coffers.
The resolution also has city staff hustling to get the best use out of other public housing sites dotted around the city. The ones at 210 N. McQueen Road, 130 N. McQueen Road, 127 N. Kingston St., and 660 S.
