A 23-year-old Chicago man, identified as Adale Taylor, has been hit with serious charges including attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm, according to the Chicago Police Department. After being apprehended earlier this week, Taylor is now in custody for the shooting of a 29-year-old woman last month.
The incident, which took place on November 5 in the 6800 block of S. Wabash Ave., left the victim critically wounded. Captured with the help of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force, Taylor was identified as the alleged assailant. Arrested on the 6900 block of S. Lowe Ave., the offender is now facing one felony count of attempt to commit first-degree murder and another for aggravated battery by discharging a firearm.
Taylor's detention hearing is scheduled for today at the courthouse on 2600 S. California. Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting or the events leading up to it have not been released by the authorities.
