The City of Noble is preparing to launch its annual Winter Cleanup in the forthcoming week of January 13th, 2025, as announced on its official website. Residents are advised to align their cleanup contributions with their regular polycart service schedule. According to the City of Noble's announcement, the cleanup services will start with Monday's polycart customers on January 13 and proceed through the week, concluding with Friday's customers on January 17.
To ensure a smooth process, the city has issued guidelines for the cleanup event. Residents can start to put their items at the curb no earlier than one week before their designated collection day. Accepted items include small household appliances, furniture, and mattresses, along with bundled tree limbs that must not exceed 3ft in length or 25 lbs in weight, as well as contained do-it-yourself remodeling waste. However, there exists a notable list of materials that the clean-up crews will not be accepted, which includes hazardous substances like flammables, corrosives, and chemicals, in addition to heavy materials such as rock, dirt, and concrete.
The collection guidelines make an additional specification for white goods like refrigerators, air conditioners, and freezers. These larger appliances will not be picked up curbside but rather will only be accepted at the city hall collection site, conditioned on the removal of Freon by a certified person—a stipulation clearly specified in the city's statement. Other white goods, such as washers, dryers, and stoves, are also included in this city hall-exclusive policy.
For further details regarding the specific items accepted and not accepted, along with other pertinent information concerning the Winter Cleanup schedule and guidelines, residents can to refer to the City of Noble website.
