The spirit of giving is alive and well in Cobb County as the Stuff-a-Bus drive cruises through town to collect toys for families in need this holiday season. A CobbLinc bus adorned in festive wrap will make several stops from December 10 to December 12 to pick up new, unwrapped toys donated by community members. According to the Cobb County Government website, Cobb Christmas, Inc., CobbLinc, First Transit, community businesses, and volunteers are all essential components in making this initiative possible.
For those interested in contributing, donations can be made before the bus's arrival at the specified times and locations, with a need particularly noted for children ages 9 to 13. Despite the festive cheer, this demographic often sees less donations compared to the younger age groups. Toys will find their way to approximately 1,000 families across the county, bringing joy to many children's holiday season.
The campaign kicked off today with a stop at Traton Homes in Marietta and will continue through various host sites, including Wellstar health facilities and business complexes such as TKE Elevator Corp. and KNAPP. The full schedule has been meticulously planned to cover a wide area and ensure ample opportunity for community participation.
