Winning this award gives Coconino County an opportunity to showcase their election administration efforts at the national level. "Coconino County Elections Department remains committed to continuous improvement, transparency, and collaboration in election administration," said Eslir Musta, the Coconino Elections Director and Assistant County Manager in the same release. "This award affirms our county board of supervisors’ vision for free, fair, and accessible elections. We are glad to share our experience advancing the professionalism of the elections field," Musta added.

The People's Choice Award, presented by the Election Center (also known as the National Association for Election Officials), is voted on by election professionals to recognize outstanding projects and services.

The award presentation will take place at the Election Center's February Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas. Coconino County Elections team members will present details about their program to other election professionals across the country.
