Coconino County Seeks New Education Leaders with Four Vacancies Open. According to a civic alert published by Coconino County, Superintendent of Schools Cheryl Mango-Paget is accepting applications for governing board positions at Grand Canyon Unified School District, Fredonia-Moccasin Unified School District, NATIVE (Tuba City), and Tuba City Unified School District.
To be eligible, applicants must be registered voters in Arizona and have resided in the corresponding school district for at least one year. Applications will be accepted starting 30 days after the initial posting, with a review deadline of January 17, 2025. Spouses of current district employees are not eligible to apply in order to maintain a clear distinction between governance and daily operations.
Applicants can find the necessary forms on the county website. To apply, candidates must complete, sign, and submit the required paperwork through mail, email, or fax. An original signed application is required, and submissions will be accepted until all positions are filled.
