The city will play host to comedian Stavros Halkias, as part of his "The Dreamboat Tour," an odyssey of humor that will bring his unique blend of comedy to the Celebrity Theatre on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Known for his candid style and everyman relatability, Halkias is taking the funny business seriously, crisscrossing North America from February, beginning in Wheatland, California, and wrapping up in Washington D.C. come May.
According to the Phoenix New Times, Halkias isn't just another comedian on the circuit. He's earned acclaim on Vulture’s 2023 list of "Comedians You Should and Will Know," and a tip of the hat from GQ as being "at the front of a new wave of comedians." In the world of podcasts, his "Stavvy’s World" made a splash, debuting at #3 on the iTunes comedy chart. Bringing his star power to Phoenix, the Celebrity Theatre should prepare for a packed house on March 15. Halkias, known for wrapping the final leg of his The Fat Rascal tour last year, is far from resting on his laurels.
Kicking off his career with a million views in just four days with “Live at the Lodge Room,” Halkias has since become a comedy tour de force. The indie comedy film “Let’s Start A Cult,” in which he wrote, produced, and starred, received glowing commendations, with Vulture declaring “Stavros Halkas has star power.” His current projects also include the production of season 2 of the Netflix series “Tires,” and his special "Fat Rascal" is available for streaming on the same platform, according to a statement obtained by Independent Newsmedia.
More than just a stand-up, Halkias has cultivated an expansive fanbase through various mediums. His podcast "Stavvy’s World" continues to rope in listeners by the hundreds of thousands. Given the upcoming tour, local fans will have the chance to experience his comedy in the flesh. Tickets for the Phoenix show are already on the move and can be snagged here.
