As the city prepares to ring in the new year, local residents will need to keep in mind some schedule changes for city services. According to an announcement by the City of Creve Coeur, city offices will be closed on Wednesday, in celebration of New Year's Day. Those in need of municipal services are advised to plan accordingly, as offices will not reopen until 8:00 a.m. on January 2, 2025.
The holiday will also affect trash collection schedules, however, Monday and Tuesday routes will operate as usual, with no changes. According to the same source, residents with Thursday trash pickups should prepare for a one-day delay, their trash being collected on January 3. Likewise, Friday’s routes shift to Saturday, January 4, extending the weekend duties of the city's sanitation workers.
Regular services will resume the following week with no further interruptions anticipated. The city has not announced any alternate arrangements for other non-emergency services at this time.
If further information is needed or for specific inquiries, city officials have encouraged residents to visit the Creve Coeur website or to contact the city offices before the closure.
